Description

Join us for a guided plant walk and demonstration of how to prepare local medicinal plants to support your health as we enter the colder months. On the guided walk, we will learn to identify a variety of species and uncover the medicinal traditions and folklore woven into their histories. During the demonstration, we will learn how to prepare an infusion, decoction, and syrup using medicinal plants that can be found in our own backyards. This session offers a chance to understand how medicinal plants have been used for generations and what they have to teach us today.

We will spend part of the session outdoors and part indoors in an unheated room. Please come prepared, dressed in warm layers, for a chilly Autumn morning! A quick heads-up for anyone with allergies: this venue is home to barn cats, who will be in an enclosed area during the session.

Registration is required and opens one week in advance!
