Volunteer With Centred Outdoors!
If you’re interested in volunteering your time and talents to help connect community members with the wonders and benefits of nature, the Centred Outdoors team has several opportunities for you! Volunteers can support outings and wellness activities as greeters, hike assistants, photographers, and more.
All Centred Outdoors volunteers are part of the larger volunteer community at ClearWater Conservancy. Volunteering also makes you a ClearWater member, helping support local conservation, education, and community connection efforts across the region.

Volunteer Roles
Greeter Volunteers help welcome participants and create a positive experience at the start of each event. Responsibilities include ensuring participants sign in and acknowledge the waiver, stamping passports, answering questions, and pointing out available resources such as water bottles, sunscreen, and bug spray.
Greeters are busiest at the beginning of the event, but volunteers are asked to stay for the entirety of the outing and engage with participants or visitors who may be exploring the location independently.
Hike Assistant Volunteers accompany the group throughout the guided adventure and support the hike leader while helping participants stay comfortable, safe, and engaged during the experience.
Hike assistants may help participants on the trail by holding branches, offering a hand over obstacles, and ensuring everyone can hear and follow along with information shared by the hike leader. Volunteers will be provided with a backpack containing extra water and basic first aid materials to carry, while Centred Outdoors staff will lead any first-aid administration if needed.
